This utensil holder depicts a Chickadee couple in a Cherry Blossom tree. The design is done using a technique called Sgraffito. I paint colored slip on the outside of the vase while the clay is wet. I then carve the design into the slip revealing the clay underneath.
Each is hand-thrown, hand carved, and hand painted by me. They are dishwasher and microwave safe.
Utensil holders are 6” tall and 5” in diameter. They may vary slightly in size because each one is individually handmade.
