Yellow-Bellied Sapsuckers are Fall migrants to the Southeast and you can always tell if one has been nearby. Sapsuckers leave a specific mark on trees, a horizontal row of indentations.
Each mug is hand-thrown, hand carved, and hand painted by me. Mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe.

White-throated Sparrows are a late fall and winter resident of the Southeast. Their dramatic striped head, white throat, and soulful call makes them stick out among other Sparrow species.
The White-throated Sparrow design will only be available in fall and winter.

One of the most glamorous birds! Cedar Waxwings eat berries and move around based on which berries are in season. It is a real thrill to see a whole flock descend on a tree.

My name is Chellie LaPointe and I am a North Carolina based potter. I create hand-thrown and hand-painted pottery inspired by the wildlife around my home in the rural North Carolina Piedmont.
I am a life-long birder and enjoy capturing the spirit and character of wild birds in my whimsical illustrations. My pots are hand thrown and then decorated in a process that involves carving, painting, and glazing, which is all done in my home studio. Each pot is thoughtfully designed and individually handmade.
I also own and operate Red Mountain Farm, a seasonal cut flower farm on our property in Rougemont, NC.
